Had just come from (competitors name removed) Kelston who were so rude and said that I couldn't have the advertised service of $139 because my car was too new (its 7 years old-2005 nissan Tiana..not flash or special). They tried to charge me $250. After being spoken to rudely I left and went to New Lynn. I came across Midas and the man at the front desk was nice and polite. He said he could do the job for the price as advertised-$129. The team were extremely kind and polite. They even gave the children a chocolate bar each!! The job was done in 40 min's and I was very happy with vehicle service and the customer service! Unlike (competitors name removed) Kelston, I will be recommending this store to my friends and will be returning when my vehicle requires a service or repair. 5 stars! - Sophia - Auckland

I was just in picking up my car and although I thanked you when I was there, I wanted to officially thank you all again and let you know I will passing on the good word about Newtown Midas.

The service I received was above and beyond what I would expect and what I know others have experienced in other such situations. Because of the wonderful service, I might now be a convert to actually looking after my car and maybe even getting it serviced more regularly (rather than the current 'never' I have been going with up until now...).

Having always been bit anti the Toyota Corona Exiv, as my last car was a dreamy 1974 Mercedes 280E (with only about 65,000km original clocked up), the professional and friendly experience I had at Newtown Midas has even caused me to like the Exiv just a little more. I had my car serviced at Thorndon Midas on Friday. I just want to say that I was so impressed that I have just placed the following notice up at the intranet at the Ministry for the Environment: Excellent Car Mechanic Recommended: If you need a car mechanic, I recommend Kenny at Midas Thorndon. He's honest and does an excellent job. He's also Scottish, not Irish as I thought! They do everything from your WOF, service and tyre's. I put my car into Meadowlands Midas on Thursday last. I was attended to by a young lady in charge of the office. I must say that I have seldom experienced such courtesy coupled with such expertise and efficiency. I would just like to commend Midas on Cavendish Drive in Manukau City. Des the Service Manager there was absolutely awesome. I had taken my car in for repairs that were recommended by another organisation which had resulted in a failed WOF. Des did his own inspection only to find that the other recommendation was completely WRONG! Des made the necessary repairs, and I got my WOF the same day. Thanks so much Des and Midas, thanks for going out of your way to make sure that I was getting the best service and the best price!!!
